What was the Silk Road like??

The route of the silk road is over 7,000 miles long. It had a number of branches that went out to diffrent locations. From the sky it must have looked like a huge drawing of a tree. Along the sides of the road there were buddist temples and shirines built. When people traveled the silk road they rarely traveled the whole distance (that would have taken foreeeeever!!!) The silk road was first used around 300BC and trade was conducted by the middle man meaning that the two traders wouldn't even see each other most of the time. Isn't that like taking food from a STRANGER!!!

  1. That would not be a fun walk. You're right about how its like taking food from a stranger. I hopeThat the trades were fair in this sense. If not how would we know? Great job.

  2. I'm glad I didn't have to travel 7,000 miles to trade silk with other civilizations.:) I like the comment you made about taking food from a stranger, but I guess that's basically what trading back then would be like. You found some interesting facts. Good Job!
